50/50 Boston Brown Bread
3-1/2 cups HODGSON MILL 50/50 FLOUR
1/2 cup HODGSON MILL YELLOW CORN MEAL
1 cup brown sugar
1-1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup dark molasses
1/2 cup cooking oil
1-1/2 cups raisins
1-1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups milk
2 eggs
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
Measure 50/50 Flour into large mixing bowl. Add remaining dry ingredients. Stir well to blend. Combine liquid ingredients in a bowl. Beat well and add to blended dry ingredients. Stir until all ingredients are moistened. Stir in raisins. Spread batter into
1 greased 8-1/2x4-1/2x2-1/2-inch loaf pans.
Bake for 55-60 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool in pans 5-10 minutes. Remove; cool on rack. Yield: 2 loaves.
