Spring is here, but mornings are a bit on the chilly side, so I like to warm up with a bowl of hot cereal for breakfast. Breakfast Bulgur Wheat with Mixed Berry Sauce comes together in about 15 minutes, is warm and satisfying and has a spring-like flavor from the mixed berry sauce.  Read More »

Banana Buckwheat Muffins with Dark Chocolate, Walnuts and Cacao Nibs

Mmmmm… Mom, what smells so good? If this is the first thing your children want to know when they walk into the kitchen, it’s a pretty good sign you’ve got a winner of a recipe on your hands. Oatmeal Cinnamon Swirl Bread

The bread has a light texture and tender crumb that is accentuated by the old-fashioned rolled oats and Hodgson Mill Whole Wheat Flour I added. To make this more of a breakfast bread, I sprinkled a layer of cinnamon sugar on the dough and rolled it up so that each toasted slice would have a delicious cinnamon spiral in the middle. The other great part about this bread recipe is that it makes two loaves at a time; one to eat and one to freeze for later.  Read More »
