Jalapeno Cornbread

Spice up our convenient and wholesome whole wheat cornbread mix wiht extra kick. It's a perfect companion to soups!


  • 1 7-1/2oz. pkg. Hodgson Mill Cornbread and Muffin Mix
  • 1 Tbsp. butter, or vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 Tbsp. jalapeno pepper, seeded & minced or 2 tsp.dried Jalapeno spice
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 Tbsp. onion, minced
  • 1 egg


Preheat oven to 400°F.  Generously grease an 8x8x1-1/2 inch baking pan.

Place contents of package into mixing bowl; cut in butter or vegetable oil. Add remaining ingredients. Mix until blended. Pour batter into pan.  

Bake 20-25 minutes.
