Thin Spaghetti with Zesty Pesto

Easy paste packed with flavor. Try this with some delicious garlic bread and your favorite salad.


  • 1 pkg. 16oz. Hodgson Mill Whole Wheat Thin Spaghetti
  • 2 cups basil, fresh leaves, lightly packed
  • 2 Tbsp. pine nuts
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • salt, to taste
  • black pepper, to taste


Prepare pasta according to package directions, drain. 

Combine the first six ingredients in a blender or food processor; process until smooth.  Stir in salt and pepper.  Toss with pasta.   

Variations:  in place of basil, try 2 cups fresh parsley, spinach or broccoli florets.  In place of pine nuts, try walnuts or pecans
