Is the stamped date a use by date or a manufacturing date?

The date stamped is the best used by date.

How do you read the code date?

Example: 050907 4  - The first 2 numbers are the month followed by the day followed by the year and the last digit is a production number.

 How long should my order take to arrive?

Most generally orders deliver via UPS Ground and take anywhere from 10 to 14 business days.  This may vary during peak holiday times such as the Christmas season.

How long does it take to receive a catalog?

Catalogs are not sent the same day they are requested.  They are sent as bulk mail and may take 2-3 weeks to arrive.

Can I buy product directly from the warehouse at 1100 Stevens Avenue?

Yes.  The preferred hours to buy are:  8:30am -11:30am  1:30pm-4:00pm Monday through Friday.

Can I substitute whole grain flour for white flour in a recipe?

Yes.  Remove 1 Tbsp. of whole grain flour per cup and add 1 Tbsp of liquid.

How much is 2 oz. dry pasta?

1 cup cooked.

Why do my Steel Cut Oats boil over in the microwave?

Microwaves vary in power.  It is suggested to use a very deep bowl (a mixing bowl) to allow for expansion and to stir more often.  It may be best to use stove top or crockpot method.

What is the ratio of water to oats for an entire box of Steel Cut Oats?

Use the 4:1 ration (4 cups of water to 1 cup of oats) and extend cooking time about 5 minutes.

How often can I send in Cash Refund Rebate Forms?

Only 1 per household per quarter.  Note:  Any barcodes mailed in more frequent will be discarded.  Hodgson Mill not responsible for holding until new redeemable date.
