Healthy Jam Bars

3/4 c butter 
1 c firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 c HODGSON MILL UNBLEACHED WHITE FLOUR
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp soda
1 c HODGSON MILL OAT BRAN HOT CEREAL
1/2 c HODGSON MILL UNPROCESSED WHEAT BRAN
12 oz. jar of strawberry preserves

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add combined flour, salt and soda; mix well. Stir in oats and wheat bran. Press half of crumb mixture onto bottom of greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Spread preserves over crumb mixture. Sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture. Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes. Cool; cut into bars.

Makes 10 servings. Each serving: 365 calories; 4 g. dietary fiber; 75 g. carbohydrates; 5 g. protein; 8 g. fat; 5 g. saturated fat; 24 mg. cholesterol; 405 mg. sodium.
