Hodgson Mill's "Hootin' an Hollarin' Festival"
Open House Saturday, September 20, 2008 from 8 a.m. - Noon

 

The Hodgson Mill family invites you to come visit us and join in the fun of our yearly celebration of food, music, and rollicking good times. The Hootin’ & Hollarin’ Festival takes place every fall in Hodgson Mill’s “backyard” ~ Gainesville, Missouri, nestled in the beautiful green hills of the Ozark Mountains.

 

"Hootin' & Hollarin'" first began over three decades ago when a group of local Gainesville citizens decided to hold a show of native crafts on the courthouse lawn and invite a few of their friends to play music. From that humble beginning the festival has grown into a nationally known event, taking place each September over two festive days and three balmy fall nights.

 

The 2008 Hootin’ & Hollarin’ Festival kicks off Thursday, September 18 and ends Saturday, September 20. On Saturday, 8 a.m. to Noon, the Hodgson Mill plant will host an Open House with taste testing and a tour of our facilities while our products are being made. Also on Saturday at 2 p.m. is the Hootin’ & Hollarin’ townwide parade.

 

All our Hodgson Mill, Kentucky Kernel, Don's Chuck Wagon, and Vidalia products will be for sale at the Open House, so don’t miss out on the unbelievable bargains! (cash and carry only). We hope you can join us to meet our Hodgson Mill family, visit the original water mill, and especially to enjoy all the fun and festivities!

East on Hwy 60 to Mansfield. Take Hwy 5 South through Ava, MO to Gainesville. At Jct Hwy 5 & 160, turn right on Hwy 160; go approximately one mile to a flashing yellow light and turn right on #805. Go approximately one mile, Hodgson Mill is to your left.

 

 

Directions from St. Louis, MO:

Take I44 to Rolla; then Hwy 63 South to Cabool. Then take West Hwy 60 to Mansfield. Take Hwy 5 South through Ava, MO to Gainesville. At Jct Hwy 5 & 160, turn right on Hwy 160; go approximately one mile to a flashing yellow light and turn right on #805. Go approximately one mile, Hodgson Mill is to your left.

 

Directions from Mountain Home, AR:

Take Hwy 5 North to Gainesville at Jct Hwy 5 & 160, go straight through light. Go approximately one mile to Hodgson Mill on left.
