Quick Tips for Great Waffles
- Don't over-mix the batter unless the recipe directions say otherwise.
- Don't open the waffle iron during the first minute of baking. The grids won't be formed properly.
- If there is steam still coming out of the iron, the waffle is still cooking.
- Waffles are the perfect food item for the freezer. Freeze them in resealable bags after they are completely cool. Reheat them in the microwave or the toaster.
