Whole Wheat Pie Crust
1 cup HODGSON MILL WHOLE WHEAT PASTRY FLOUR
1 Tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 cup cold water
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Combine the Pastry Flour with firm butter until crumbly. Blend in water beating about 15 strokes. Turn onto floured surface and knead 5 times. Roll dough out thin about 2 inches larger than a 9-inch pie pan. Place dough in pie pan and flute edges if desired. Prick dough numerous times with a fork. Bake until light brown, about 8-10 minutes; cool.
Makes 1 pie crust. Each crust: 542 calories; 8 g dietary fiber; 88 g carbohydrates; 16 protein; 16 fat (7 g saturated fat); 31 mg cholesterol; 718 mg sodium.
