How it’s Made
The wheat kernel is cracked and then precooked (steamed) and dried.

 

Storage Recommendation
Dry product may be stored at room temperature, in refrigerator, or in freezer at least until the code date on the package. Store with loose fitting lid when at room temperature
Prepared product should be consumed within 1 week of preparation.
Let product cool completely before storing.

Added to soups, pancakes, stuffing, or in ground meat as a meat extender.

Can I use milk instead of water?
Yes, it will make a creamier cereal/pilaf.

 

Can I microwave this product?
Yes, Microwave on high for 2 minutes stirring every 30 seconds. Repeat an additional 2 minutes.

 

Can I add ingredients to my cereal?
Try adding up to 1/2 cup of fruits, nuts, or seeds per serving Dried fruits may need to be soaked first. 
Try cooking with milk for a creamier cereal.
Add spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, or pumpkin pie spice.
Mix in 1Tbsp. cream cheese or swirl with yogurt for a creamy treat.
Mix in 1 Tbsp. peanut butter, almond butter, or sunflower butter for a delicious nutty cereal.

 

Do I need to refrigerate this product?
No, this product is shelf-stable. Keep in a cool, dry place. You may wish to keep it in the refrigerator to extend shelf life, but it is not required. Cooked cereal and some baked goods need to be covered, refrigerated and consumed within 1 week.

 

How is bulgur different than other wheat?
Bulgur is whole wheat, which has been pre-cooked (steamed) dried and cracked. It takes less time to cook than other wheat cereals.

 

Is your Bulgur Wheat a #1 or #2 size grind?
The numbering system for grain is most common to Middle Eastern markets. We do not have a standard granulation range, but with #1 being fine, our Bulgur Wheat would fall more towards #2 or #3, being medium to coarse.

 

How much soy is in this product?
None. Soy has been removed in the reformulation.

 

Why did you remove the soy?
It is one of the major allergens and it required extra cleaning in the production process.
