Why does the batter come off my food?
 Be sure to have the surface of the food as dry as possible before coating the food.


Why does my food not get done?
When frying, use proper oil temperature and cook in small batches. Baked items may need to be turned once during the cooking process.


What is Acacia Gum?
It comes from the acacia tree. It is a clean label ingredient. It is minimally processed and uses no chemicals. It comes exclusively from the sub-Saharan Africa. It is considered a sustainable product as no trees are cut. It is used as a texturizer, emulsifier, stabilizer and thickener. It also enhances flavor release. It is 90% soluble dietary fiber. 


What is Medium Chain Triglycerides?
Coconut and palm kernel are the top sources for medium chain triglycerides. They are fatty acids and are easily absorbed, metabolized in the liver and used for energy. 


What is Maltodextrin?
Maltodextrin is made from corn, rice, potato starch or wheat. It is generally used as a thickener or preservative to extend the shelf life of packaged foods. The US FDA has approved maltodextrin as a safe food additive. It is also included in the nutritional value of food as part of the total carbohydrate count. Maltodextrin is usually only present in small amounts and won’t have a significant effect on your overall carbohydrate intake.

Yes, both ingredients are sourced as Non-GMO; we have opted to not add the official Non-GMO Project Verification to this product.

Is the corn meal and corn flour whole grain?
No, both are degerminated.


Is the salt in this product iodized?
No, it is not iodized.


What are the spices in this flour?
This product starts with the signature Kentucky Kernel signature blend of 10 herbs and spices. We add additional tasty ingredients to give it a Spicy Cajun flavor. The blend is proprietary information.
