Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 lbs. ground beef, (or 1lb. beef and 1/4lb. each pork and veal
  • 1-1/2 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup Hodgson Mill Unprocessed Wheat Bran
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced, or 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp sage
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 Tbsp dry mustard
  • 1/3 cup ketchup

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350° F.
  • Mix all ingredients except mustard and ketchup. Shape into loaf. Place in a 9x5x3- inch loaf pan.
  • Mix mustard and ketchup; Spread evenly on top of loaf.
  • Bake 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 hours.
