Dietary: Clean Eating, Egg-Free, Kosher, Peanut-Free, Tree-Nut Free, Vegetarian

Known for its exceptionally high levels of B-Complex vitamins and vitamin E, wheat germ is the embryo or seedling plant within the wheat kernel which sprouts. This nutritious part of the wheat kernel is removed in most refined flours, such as all-purpose flours. That makes it important to add Wheat Germ, with its extra vitamins and oils, back into your family's diet.

Add wheat germ to baked goods (1 Tbsp per 2 cups of flour) or any granola recipe for a sweet and healthful treat.

Tips & FAQ’s

What part of the wheat kernel is the wheat germ?
This is the smallest part of the wheat kernel, but contains most of the nutrients. It is the tiny dormant seedling inside the grain, which would grow into a wheat plant if the wheat berry was planted.

Is this wheat germ toasted?
This product is raw, not toasted.

Is the wheat germ heat-treated?

How do you separate the wheat germ from the rest of the grain?
After the germ and bran are separated from the wheat, it goes through an air classification. Simply, the bran and germ are separated then by weight and density.
