  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Blend dry ingredients together in a bowl. In a separate bowl, combine egg, vegetable oil and milk. Add dry ingredients to egg mixture until just blended. Fold in apples and nuts. Batter will be thick.
  • Fill well-greased muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until top springs back when touched.
  • Notes: OK to sub 1 ½ cups Hodgson Mill 50/50 Flour in place of the whole wheat flour and white flour.
