Don't like store bought crust? Make your own healthy, whole wheat pie crust from home!

  • Preheat oven to 450°F.
  • Combine the pastry flour and baking powder with firm butter until crumbly. Blend in water beating about 15 strokes. If dough seems a little dry, add 1 Tbsp additional water.
  • Turn onto floured surface and knead 5 times.
  • Roll dough out thin about 2 inches larger than a 9 in. pie pan. Place dough in pie pan and flute edges if desired.
  • Prick dough numerous times on bottom and along the side with a fork.
  • Bake until light brown, about 8-10 minutes; cool.
